polytec have partnered with the McGrath Foundation to help raise funds for placing McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities right across Australia, along with raising awareness of the importance of breast care health.
About McGrath Foundation
McGrath Foundation started with Jane and Glenn McGrath's public experience with breast cancer and has become one of Australia's most recognised and respected charities. Jane McGrath's experience with a Breast Care Nurse began after her cancer returned a second time, which became the basis for the McGrath Foundation.
McGrath Breast Care Nurses help individuals and their families experiencing breast cancer by providing physical, psychological, and emotional support. This support is available for free from diagnosis, and throughout treatment through the private and public health system.
"My McGrath Breast Care Nurse, Tracey, has been with me for over two years. Throughout this whole rollercoaster she has been my rock - my confidante, my library, my hero. I couldn't do this without her." - Annette Zuydam, Tasmania
Most Breast Care Nurses in Australia are in rural and regional areas, which means there is a growing need for nurses in urban areas. This is why polytec has begun its commitment to fund more Breast Care Nurses across Australia. By choosing polytec, you will be helping place more Breast Care Nurses throughout Australia to support families affected by breast cancer.
"Breast cancer doesn't care how old you are, where you live, whether you're a career woman or a mother. Breast cancer is a disease that currently affects one in eight Australian women of all ages and backgrounds. Please help the McGrath Foundation support people across Australia." - Jane McGrath
