polytec Design Awards 2023

polytec's TV debut on Australia ByDesign Architecture

For the first time ever, polytec partnered with Australia ByDesign Architecture. Airing on Network 10, Australia ByDesign Architecture is a highly successful series that uncovers the outstanding projects in Australian architectural design. 

polytec look forward to continuing this partnership into 2024.

polytec trendjournal

The polytec trendjournal was launched at over 10 locations throughout Australia, offering a thorough source of inspiration for designers and enthusiasts interested in the latest trends and innovations in design. 

With an impressive compilation of over 300 pages, the trendjournal features outstanding projects that highlight the current joinery trends and designs in Australia.

Ask an Expert 

polytec introduced Ask an Expert, an opportunity for you to find out the answers to those questions you’ve been longing to ask.

Our first expert was Marylou Cafaro, leading trend forecaster and interior designer, with over 36 years of industry experience, specialising in colour and product design for polytec

Our second expert was Anna Moore, an interior designer and polytec Selection Studio Coordinator who answered questions on where to find inspiration and your joinery selection process.

Steccawood stone range by polytec

polytec introduced four new stone colours in the Steccawood range, offering a range of natural stone and marble designs, adding an element of luxe to your space. Available in polytec colours Marmo di Monte, Marmo di Torre, Portland Stone, and Athena Stone – all four options have a Smooth finish and are a realistic alternative to fluted honed stone.

Mood Board of the Month

A mood board is all about inspiration and exploring ideas of style, colours, and overall feel of a room or project space. Are you wondering what colours and products work well together? polytec introduced Mood Board of the Month, highlighting a colour and style combination for the month.

Thermolaminated Mirror Panels

Bringing a modern aesthetic, polytec’s new range of Thermolaminated mirror panels are designed to add an element of luxury to your space. Available in four designs – Arch, Oblong, Rectangle, and Rounded Rectangle – all options offer a unique design to create a decorative feature in any home or commercial space.

Batten Oak

polytec released Batten Oak, which is a natural tan-brown oak with regular narrow linear shadows creating a timber batten effect. Batten Oak is designed to transform a flat door or curved surface, giving the perception of depth and texture, making it easy to clean and maintain.

Surano Doors

Introducing polytec’s newest innovation for cabinet doors – Surano doors are now available for a wide range of applications. This shaker style door is made using decorative board glued and dowelled together into a multipiece construction, ensuring strength and stability. They are 18mm in thickness with a 9mm insert, which can either be decorative board in the same colour or try a contrasting colour. Alternatively, choose a glass insert.

Rattans

The Rattans are polytec’s latest colour release. Both Swiss Rattan and Danish Rattan give the appearance of depth, however, are a Woodmatt surface, making them easy to clean and maintain.

Thermolaminated doors & panels – 2 New Colours

polytec added two new colours to the Thermolaminated doors & panels range – Tasmanian Oak and Ligurian Walnut – both in a Woodmatt finish.
