Celebrating 2024: polytec’s Year in Review
What a spectacular year for polytec in 2024! This year was marked by growth, creativity, and innovation, as we continued to push the boundaries of design.

Let's look back at some of the standout moments that defined 2024:

  • Over 1.2 million doors produced – a testament to our craftsmanship and dedication to quality.
  • Planted 2.7 million seedlings across seven plantations – marking a significant investment in the future of our wood supply.
  • 115,000 tonnes of wood waste collected and recycled – through reDirect Recycling (a Borg company), showcasing our leadership in sustainable practices.

McGrath Foundation

polytec's ongoing support for the McGrath Foundation reached new heights in 2024:

All thanks to our amazing supporters, the cabinet makers of Australia, together we raised $139,816.88 this year, bringing the total to an incredible $558,692 raised to date – reaching a huge milestone. A special thanks to our supporters.

polytec Design Awards 2024

The polytec Design Awards celebrates design excellence, showcasing the many spectacular projects from across Australia.

Over 850 projects entered, with an impressive 145 awards distributed nationally. You can view the winners and finalists from each state.

We also celebrated another year of the National polytec ByDesign Award, which was awarded to Giorgi for their Peppermint Grove project. Giorgi will feature on Australia ByDesign Architecture in 2025. Airing on Network 10, Australia ByDesign Architecture is a highly successful series that uncovers outstanding projects in Australian Architectural design.

The Boston Oak Collection: a global creative first

A new milestone was achieved with the launch of the Boston Oak Collection, offering a broad spectrum of 12 colours inspired by traditional methods of staining natural timber, using the original Boston Oak structure as its base in polytec's signature Woodmatt finish. Explore the full collection, designed with flexibility and longevity in mind, versatile across both residential and commercial projects.

Exciting Product Launches

polytec introduced a range of products to inspire designers, cabinet makers, joiners, architects, and consumers.

  • Peak Steccawood offering a new profile in polytec's Steccawood range - an innovative, sleek, triangular shape.

Project Highlights

  • The Florence Project – a stylish family retreat, celebrating functionality and elegance.

Community Engagement
